Kid

Consistently told through the eyes of "Kid" the audience experiences a family tragedy. 7 years old "Kid" can only guess the background of his single mother´s struggle. When she dies, "Kid" has to face the fears and hardships of the world himself. While still having the hope to find his mother he estranges from his environment more and more.

This film reminds adults how „being a child" really feels like. "Kid" is naive and playful, but absolutely at the mercy of events and simply not able to accept losses.

"Kid" is young director Fien Troch's third feature film. Her debut film "Someone Else's Happiness" was screened in Toronto, Rotterdam, San Sebastian, Gothenburg etc. and was honored in Thessaloniki with the awards for best film, best screenplay and best actress. Her second film "Unspoken" was shown in Toronto, Rotterdam, San Sebastian, etc. and has won Turin's award for the best leading actress.
