At 88 years of age, Ilse tries to cope with the challenges of her daily life in her apartment on the outskirts of Stuttgart in South West Germany. Although she still seems robust enough at first glance, age has left its mark.

Her daughter and son-in-law visit her almost daily, caring for her, helping her do the shopping, or cleaning her appartment.
