THE WOUNDED ANGEL won the Work in Progress session at the Sarajevo International Film Festival

The Kazakh film director Emir Baigazin’s WOUNDED ANGEL has won the CineLink Work in Progress session at the Sarajevo International Film Festival. 

The young film director, known for his brilliant debut film HARMONY LESSONS, won €80 thousand ($105 thousand) from the German company Post Republic. All in all, seven film projects by young and already well-known film directors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Israel, Kazakhstan, Romania, Slovenia and Serbia competed for the prize this year.

THE WOUNDED ANGEL is an Kazakh-French-German Co-Production with Kazakhfilm JSC and Capricci Films. It is Emir Baigazin's second feature film and the second part of a scheduled trilogy dealing with sensitive teenaged issues. Emir Baigazin's debut HARMONY LESSIONS also won the Work in Progress in 2012 and has been awarded with a Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution by the jury of the 63th Berlinale 2013.

THE WOUNDED ANGEL funded with 55,000 Euro

We are happy that our feature film THE WOUNDED ANGEL by Emir Baigazin is funded by the Film- und Medienstifung NRW with 55,000 Euros.

THE WOUNDED ANGEL is an Kazakh-French-German Co-Production with Kazakhfilm JSC and Capricci Films. It is Emir Baigazin's second feature film and the second part of a scheduled trilogy dealing with teenager issues. Emir Baigazin's debut HARMONY LESSIONS has been awarded with a Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution by the jury of the 63th Berlinale 2013.

TOUR DU FASO in German cinemas from May 29th

Our German-French co-production TOUR DU FASO by Wilm Huygen will be shown in German cinemas starting today. The film premiere in Cologne's cycling stadium on May 23rd has already been a great success. The documentary about Africa's major cycling race through Burkina Faso will be shown in 28 German cities until July 2014. WHO IS THOMAS MUELLER? - in German cinemas from March 20th

Yesterday we celebrated the local premiere of our transmedia documentary WHO IS THOMAS MUELLER? by Christian Heynen in Cologne. Lots of the film's protagonists attended the screening. We are happy to announce that WHO IS THOMAS MUELLER? will be shown in German cinemas from March 20th, after previews in Munich, Berlin and Potsdam. The documentary is distributed by Camino Film. MY BROTHER'S KEEPER - 64th Berlinale screening dates

The Berlinale program is now online! Our feature MY BROTHER'S KEEPER by Maximilian Leo opens the section Perspektive Deutsches Kino on February 7th at 7.30 pm in CinemaxX 3. Additonal screenings are taking place on February 8th and 9th.

Feb. 8th 1.00 pm at Colosseum 1, 8.30 pm at CinemaxX 1 and 8.00 pm at Hebbel am Ufer. The film will also be shown Feb. 9th at 9.00 pm at "Toni & Tonino" within the scope of "Berlinale goes Kiez". Tickets sales begin on Feb. 4th, online and on ticket counters.

THE DISOBEDIENT premiers at Sundance

We are happy to announce that our Serbian co-production THE DISOBEDIENT will be shown at this years Sundance Film Festival. The film, directed by Mina Đukić, is about 24-year-old Leni. As she is forced to spend the summer in her provincial home town, the relationship to her childhood soul mate begins to reach its turning point.

MY BROTHERS KEEPER - world premiere at 64th Berlinale

Big news mark the start of 2014! Our recent feature HÜTER MEINES BRUDERS | MY BROTHER'S KEEPER will be premiered at the 64th Berlinale. Maximilian Leo's debut will open the Perspektive Deutsches Kino section. 

The film was produced with the support of Sixpack, a project that promotes the work of talented new filmmakers. Sixpack is jointly supported by broadcaster WDR and Film- und Medienstiftung NRW.

MY BROTHER'S KEEPER centers on Gregor and his younger brother Pietschi. On a sailing trip, Pietschi disappears without trace. As Gregor tries to find out more about his brother’s life, he begins to realize how little he actually knows about his own life.
