Shooting of SAMUI SONG started

We are happy to announce the shooting start of our Thai-German co-production SAMUI SONG on March 20th. The shooting is estimated until May 16th.

It is a drama with satiric film-noir style by director Pen-Ek Ratanaruang telling the story about Viyada, a soap-opera actress in her mid-thirties, who is married to Jerome, a rich European man. But Jerome’s growing obsession with a cult-like religious sect named Buddhakaya and its charismatic leader The Holy One puts Viyada, an unbeliever, in an increasingly compromised situation. Just when there seems to be no escape for her, she encounters Guy Spencer, a mysterious man who claims that he can rid her of her problems permanently – for a high price. But things do not go as planned, and Viyada must take drastic measures in order to escape once and for all from the influence of The Holy One.

AMID VALLEYS AND MOUNTAINS- screening at Filmpalette in Cologne on November 13th 14

Our Brazilian co-production AMID VALLEYS AND MOUNTAINS // ENTRE VALES celebrates its cinematic premiere in the 7th edition of CINEMA LATIONO COLOGNE, as part of the Film Festival Cologne.

The film shows two contrary life stories of men. While the management consultant Vincente is confronted with the destruction of his life, that literally ends up in the garbage, the homeless person Antonio goes the opposite way.

AMID VALLEYS AND MOUNTAINS  is an amenable and emotional story, a metaphor about damage and rehabilitation, disposal and recycling…
